O…all inclusive circle, holding secrets in and trouble out. Not too difficult to print or write as long as you don’t rush. Unfortunately I haven’t written slowly in a long time!
As a Romance author I should be writing about that “BIG O” which is such an important part of sex scenes…you know, the perfect orgasm the first time. Simultaneous and never better, at least with the hero.
From a long time involvement in the world of dog competition I should muse on Obedience..a goal, a destination, something I practiced with my Salukis long ago but have fallen away from. “Other breeds come when called, Salukis take a message and get back to you.” Although the Saluki owners who make the effort are generally successful in Obedience.
But I saw a video a few days ago that brought back poignant memories of a magical moment. As I watched I realized there were so many parallels to writing success, I needed to share it with you.
Therefore, my O is for Olympics. No one gets to Olympics without years of dedication. Everyone works hard, and puts their best effort forward on that day. Only one person, pair, or group will win gold.
The music, the movements, the perfection of synchronicity is not an accident. It’s the result of combining natural talent with hard work and the genius of the choreographer. The dance tells a story of love growing, lost, won. They almost separate but always come back to be together at the end. Romance on ice. If you’re interested in more about Torvill and Dean they have a great website. (click on image for their story)
This Olympics was held in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1984. In 1992, Sarajevo went under siege, lasting until 1996. Sarajveo has risen from that ordeal through hard work, and the belief that they could succeed.
Oh, that *was* a magical moment! One of those “best ever” things.
