From a long time involvement in the world of dog competition I should muse on Obedience..a goal, a destination, something I practiced with my Salukis long ago but have fallen away from. “Other breeds come when called, Salukis take a message and get back to you.” Although the Saluki owners who make the effort are generally successful in Obedience.

Therefore, my O is for Olympics. No one gets to Olympics without years of dedication. Everyone works hard, and puts their best effort forward on that day. Only one person, pair, or group will win gold.
The music, the movements, the perfection of synchronicity is not an accident. It’s the result of combining natural talent with hard work and the genius of the choreographer.
